"Free" Culture.
Being a part of the “Napster” generation has it’s upsides. I have the ability and know-how to discover and share new music, I can find bands that I would have never even know existed before, and I am not at the whim of the music industry any longer.
That said, I think the idea of “free” on the web is poisoning future businesses and business models.
As of now we...

Excited.
Elated. This seems like a really good thing. I’ll know for sure Friday. I’ll report back then.

007.
Quantum of Solace, the latest 007 flick, was very bland with a few punches. Although I went to the 12:01 showing and I might have been tired, I couldn’t find anything extremely memorable about the film. It wasn’t rushed or terrible, it just.. existed. I felt like the entire movie was an extra.
I can’t wait to be blown away by a film again.
I'm not a poet, believe me.
I’m am elated that Barack Obama is taking on the very difficult task of President of the United States. He has a lot of work ahead of him and I truly believe that he will make an extreme amount of progress.
I support Barack Obama. I believe in Barack Obama.
Canon HV30
Today I went into an Apple store to look at the new Macbooks, instead I was interrupted, and in absolute amazement at the Canon HV30. This camera is it for me. I’m selling my Panasonic HDC-SD5 and buying this camera as soon as I get the money.
Not only is it HDV, meaning I can record Hi-Def content on a DVC tape, but it also has a FANTASTIC lens right out of the gate.
This is the camera...

It’s safe to stop adding things to my plate now. Although this schedule is very demanding - it’s safe to say...
Impressed.
I am extremely impressed with Apple’s latest release of the iPod touch iTunes software update. The engineers did fantastic work this time around.
How Apple makes it easy.
I am in no way, shape, or form a gamer. I don’t own any consoles and I don’t plan to anytime soon. It’s just not my thing.
However, Apple is making it extremely easy for me to casually game without stepping out of my “not a gamer” zone.
For my birthday, my girlfriend bought me an 8gb iPod touch. Although the device has many short-comings, it’s a very solid...
Thank you, RIAA.
Big company takes down little company; little company releases technology that powered little companys product - to the world.
Oh, how beautiful the internet is.
Muxtape was effectively taken down by the RIAA on August 18, 2008.
Almost coincidentally, an open source technology called Opentape was released for public consumption - for free. Although Opentape claims no affiliation with the...

This is the week it all begins.
This is the week classes start. I’m really excited to go back to school, maybe join some clubs and meet some new people. I’m ready to challenge myself and hopefully make Deane’s List again.
I’m not exactly sure what clubs I’d like to join, but maybe a web development/programming club - if those even exist. I wish my school had a club directory so people can see what...
I can look back on the work I’ve done and be truly proud of myself.
Global.
Changing things globally has been on my mind a lot recently…
and this is not an internal thing… I really mean globally.

I’ve been immersed in this video project for my college library for some weeks now and it’s finally rapping up. My boss sent me an email asking if I would help her produce some hypnotherapy CD’s. Of course I agreed, one because I really like my boss, two because it’s another media centered project I get to be involved with.
When we were discussing the details of the...

Crossroads spectrum
I’ve filled my 2 classes for the next school year. Digital Film Making and Engineering Experience.
I’m extremely excited with this course lineup because the courses are polar opposites. Digital Film Making requires that you use creative side to produce fantastic creative works, and Engineering Experience requires you to use your analytical side.
We’ll see what will come of...
I'll take the DRM. Wrapped with extra...
I am a huge advocate of digital media. For one, I never buy physical CD’s anymore, I go straight for iTunes Plus or Amazon MP3 tracks. The last CD I purchased was Jay-z’s Kingdom Come, and what did I do with it after I fought for 5 minutes to get it out of the plastic? I ripped it as a 192kbs MP3 and threw it over to my iPod. The only draw for me to actually go and buy a physical music...
